I have always been a pretty unadventurous person. That is why I was probably the most surprised of all when I developed an interest in becoming a pilot. I have always hated to fly, but the thought of having personal control over the aircraft seemed to eliminate most of that dislike. One of my best friends became involved in sport pilot training, and I quickly developed an interest in it as well. It is not that expensive, and it is something that just about anyone can become involved in. Most of all, it is fun and exciting. The license that you can obtain is done in about half the time as a private pilot certifiicate. Although you do have to meet a few requirements, beyond that, there is not much standing in the way. I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad that I did. There is nothing quite like flying up in the sky!
